Zylkene Nutritional Supplement
Zylkene
is a nutritional supplement for dogs and cats formulated from the milk protein casein. Casein promotes relaxation of newborns after breastfeeding. Zylkene helps pets cope with unusual and unpredictable situations as well as changes in their normal environment. Stressful changes include kennel and cattery stays, travel, grooming and veterinary visits, new home, arrival of a new pet or baby, visitors and sudden noises e.g. fireworks.
Common signs of behavioral stress:
Altered sleeping and resting patterns
Changes in the use of the environment (avoiding an area)
Changes in demeanor - altered posture, large pupils, tense muscles
Excess vocalization
Changed resting places
Excessive licking
Reduced play
Increased or decreased social interaction
House soiling
Feeding Directions:
Capsules can be fed once daily, whole or opened (mixing the powder with the meal or with a treat). Ideally Zylkene supplementation should be stared a few days before required - before fireworks, a veterinary or grooming visit, or a kennel stay. For longer term stressful situations, Zylkene should be given for a minimum of 1-2 months or longer if necessary.
